Hopelink Initiative is a youth-led nonprofit working to grow the stem cell donor registry, especially in communities that are underrepresented. Through schools, colleges, workplaces, and community partnerships, we educate people about stem cell donation and make it easier for eligible individuals to register.
We connect communities with established donor registries including NMDP, DKMS, and DATRI. We educate, organize registration drives, and help people take the first step toward becoming potential donors.
Hopelink does not match donors with patients or perform transplants. Medical eligibility, matching, and transplantation are managed by authorized registries and healthcare organizations.

Match likelihood is tied to ancestry, and patients of color often face the lowest odds. Our programs intentionally engage diverse communities because representation in the registry saves lives.
College campuses, cultural festivals, community centers, local events, anywhere people gather. We bring the conversation to familiar spaces where questions feel welcome.
Hopelink is run by students, first-generation advocates, medical volunteers and community leaders. They share one belief: saving a life isn’t reserved for the extraordinary. It’s something people do once they know how to help.
