The Heart of Our Mission
In the U.S., thousands of patients, including children, teens, and adults, wait for stem cell
transplants to treat blood cancers and rare genetic conditions. For many, a matched donor is
the
only cure. But matches are rare.
And the registry still doesn’t reflect the full diversity of the country.
HopeLink started with young Americans who refused to accept that families should wait
helplessly.
Students, first-generation immigrants, community organizers, and healthcare advocates are
people
who believe that a life shouldn’t depend on a lack of awareness.
We step into campuses, community centers, workplaces, churches, cultural events (basically
anywhere people gather) and make this process human, simple, and approachable.
